As the great-granddaughter of Harry Warner, one of the Warner Bros., she was always listening to, meeting and watching the history of what her family had created through motion pictures and their art.
Inspired by what they were able to accomplish she knew there was something for her to achieve with the creativity she felt. Her mother, a free and bohemian influence, taught her to look for and see beauty in those things around her and to create it if it wasn't there. She would keep her busy with the arts: painting, plays, stories or her favorite… dress up from the full trunk of costumes and accessories they would collect from different travels. After school she would put on a classic movie from her family’s library and think how beautiful these women could be with just a simple hat, a pair of gloves or a rhinestone necklace. This began her love for fashion.
In 2008, Vanessa began making pieces after a decade of love for vintage and contemporary fashion. What makes her jewelry her own is her unique take on textures, colors, and the blending of different materials. Vanessa brings a bit of herself, as well as the people and cultures that inspire her, to every one of her pieces. Hand-made and shipped from her studio in Downtown Los Angeles. There is a uniqueness and quality to her designs. Unlike what she was finding in the market, she made it a goal to make jewelry a girl would never want to take off, pieces that would stand out from the crowds. The glamorous, rock, ethnic, and bohemian feel of the jewelry lends itself to casual or cocktail fashion, day or night. Piled on, mixed and layered or just a simple bracelet on it’s own, you’ll never feel like you are wearing something ordinary!
